    She’s worked on the ‘front lines’ as an emergency room nurse and lifesaving healthcare provider. Cheryl has founded and sold two nationally recognized healthcare companies as an entrepreneur.

    She’s advised and consulted companies from IKEA and Nordstrom to Progressive and Sherwin Williams, publishing her health-centric book, “A Woman’s Health Survival Guide” along the way.

    Why do people follow leaders? What makes a person choose to follow another? In this interactive workshop, you will be introduced to Strengths-Based Leadership and examine the role and impact leaders have on their people. You will learn the Four Needs of Followers and the Seven Expectations of Leaders, based on robust research conducted by Gallup. You will learn about the psychology of followership to understand how you can approach leadership in a more complete way through the tenets of Strengths-Based Leadership. You will use the research and information from Gallup to evaluate how well you and other leaders in your organization are able to meet the needs of your employees. And lastly, you will reflect on your strengths and their impact on others and develop an action plan to improve.


    Participants will:

    • Learn the Seven Expectations of Leaders, Four Needs of Followers, understand how they interact, and be able to explain the behaviors that achieve desired outcomes.
    • Recognize how your skills, tendencies, and talents help you demonstrate the Seven Expectations and meet the Four Needs in leadership behaviors.
    • Examine your capabilities as a leader, and the capabilities of other leaders in your organization, to meet the needs of your employees.
    • Develop tools and processes to support the professional development of leaders in your organization, with respect to the Seven Expectations and Four Needs.

    Please join TCSHRM's Global Mobility Community (formerly the International SIG) for an interactive and informative panel discussion on Global Remote Work/International Telecommuting. By now, most companies have established their remote work strategy and documented well thought-out policies. Time to call it a day, right? Unfortunately, not! We're now learning "on the fly" that it's actually much more difficult to operationalize those policies.

    Our panel of corporate global mobility/international HR experts will share their practical experience and best practices on how to execute a global remote work program in order to help facilitate flexible work opportunities for employees while addressing cross-border compliance obligations, workflow/volume challenges, policy gaps, and other roadblocks.
