CMSHRM - What to Expect in an Unemployment Hearing

On March 15, 2018, Attorney Betsey Lund Ross of Lund Ross, P.A. Law Firm will be presenting on unemployment insurance in Minnesota.  Specifically, Betsey will provide an overview of the unemployment laws in Minnesota, will discuss the definition of “employee misconduct” and the “good reason” exception under the unemployment statutes, and will help prepare participants with the information needed to gather the necessary evidence and prepare for an unemployment appeal hearing.    

Presenter Information:

Betsey Lund Ross is an attorney with Lund Ross, P.A. in St. Cloud, MN.  Betsey practices in the areas of employment law, business law, and estate planning. Betsey is a graduate of Sauk Rapids-Rice High School and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.  She received her law degree from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in St. Paul, MN.  Prior to law school, Betsey worked as a recruiter for a professional staffing agency and developed job skills training programs for the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.   Betsey has been a CMSHRM member since 2013 and currently serves as its Legislative Director.  In 2014, she was named as one of the St. Cloud Times’ “5 Under 40.” Betsey can be found online at www.lundrosslaw.com.
