South Central MN SHRM - Chapter meeting - May 2018 - Conducting Employee Investigations
We are welcoming back Jim Martin of Booth Law Group to present to us on conducting employee investigations. The presentation will provide an overview for conducting effective investigations of allegations of employee misconduct. It will include a discussion of two questions that must be answered when a complaint is received and a summary of important employee rights that must be observed. Jim will cover when an employee investigation must be conducted; initial steps to be conducted when a complaint is received; a summary of important employee rights to be observed; and guidelines for conducting an effective interview.
Jim Martin begin practicing employment and labor law in 1989. He has represented both private and public sector clients in a variety of employment and labor matters. Jim has also conducted many investigations of employee misconduct and information he will share will be invaluable to your practice.
