LAHRA - The Aging Workforce

  • 11 Jul 2019
  • 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM
  • The Northern Cowboy Flame N’ Brew 19090 State Hwy 371 Brainerd, MN 56401

As the workforce ages, employers often struggle with how to accommodate or otherwise address an aging employee’s disability and long-term health issues.   This interactive session will discuss the legal issues that arise with an aging workforce under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and Workers Compensation. This session will also provide guidance on how to navigate through these legal issues in a proactive manner.

Tom Revnew has represented employers in connection with the full range of employment and labor law issues for twenty-five years. He has successfully litigated a wide-variety of labor and employment law claims before state and federal courts and administrative agencies, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful discharge claims.  Tom works with employers to avoid costly and time consuming litigation by providing counseling regarding hiring, discipline, discharge, and other employment matters. He is a frequent speaker on a national, state and local level of labor and employment law topics.
