At Twin Cities SHRM we pride ourselves on being a “Strengths-Based Organization” by incorporating Strengths into our leadership, volunteer, and membership professional development. An organization that operates with a strengths-based culture at its core can create real organic growth. It's not a surprise that organizations with strengths-based cultures experience higher employee engagement, retention, productivity, and performance.
Why do people follow leaders? What makes a person choose to follow another? In this interactive workshop, you will be introduced to Strengths-Based Leadership and examine the role and impact leaders have on their people. You will learn the Four Needs of Followers and the Seven Expectations of Leaders, based on robust research conducted by Gallup. You will learn about the psychology of followership to understand how you can approach leadership in a more complete way through the tenets of Strengths-Based Leadership. You will use the research and information from Gallup to evaluate how well you and other leaders in your organization are able to meet the needs of your employees. And lastly, you will reflect on your strengths and their impact on others and develop an action plan to improve.
