MNSHRM Hosts First Day at the Capitol!

On Thursday, April 20th, 25 HR professionals from all over Minnesota attended MNSHRM's first ever Day at the Capitol! HR leaders from the Iron Range, Owatonna, Alexandria, Duluth, the Twin Ciites, and Bemidji were represented!

Our group heard a legislative update and address from Senator Eric Pratt of the Senate Jobs Committee, heard about the employment lobbying efforts from Mark Greier and his partner at Larkin Hoffman Law Firm, and spent the afternoon meeting individually with their legislators!

We even had a request from Senator Pratt for one of our attendees, Cassie Kohn, from the South Center MNSHRM Chapter, to testify at a senate hearing on paid time off legislation!

MNSHRM is fast becoming the key source for information and advocacy in the Minnesota Legislature!
