It’s hard to believe that a year ago, we made the difficult decision to cancel our MNSHRM State Conference. It was the right decision at the time and one that we hope to never have to make again. Over a year into the pandemic, there’s been time to learn, adapt and develop better strategies for producing a safe conference experience. We are excited to share with you that we will be hosting the MNSHRM State Conference Monday, October 11 and Tuesday, October 12 at Mystic Lake Event Center!
The Conference Committee is hard at work planning the event along with our partners at Mystic Lake. We have the utmost confidence in our ability and Mystic Lake’s ability to safely host an in person conferences. There will be adequate meeting space to accommodate the number of attendees while safely meeting the standard for social distancing.
We realize that for many reasons including months of working from home and social distancing, many people will be hesitant to jump into crowds of any size. For that reason we are researching the ability to offer a virtual component to the Conference and will communicate more on this in the coming weeks.
The MN SHRM State Council is thrilled to be a part of a bridge to return to what is considered normal. We are prepared to react quickly and remain flexible to pivot again if it becomes mandatory to do so. We will be paying close attention to safety trends and guidelines as they are being constantly updated as we plan for a safe experience. We can’t wait to safely welcome our HR community back to the conference
Save the dates October 11 and October 12 now with registration including early-bird registration discounts coming soon. The conference will have a new look and feel this year. Our plan is to make this event safe, streamlined and sensational! Two days of amazing keynote speakers and high quality break-out speakers with opportunities to celebrate our successes and build our HR network.
